the one about New Year's Day

The day was pretty normal considering last nights shenanigans. Last night made me feel uncomfortable and insecure in my own home, but I live in India, and in India life goes on. Not that it doesn't in other parts of the world, but in India we are more, I think, anaesthetized  to the ugliness of humanity.
The day got immeasurably better when I found out that I was 'featured' at OUAS. The downer was that I just couldn't figure out how to get my badge up... I'd love some advice....
Anyway, this New Year's Eve was memorable to me even if for all the wrong reasons. I managed to look beyond the 'why' and find a positive for me in there. My husband. So I dedicated this project to him.
I just want to say that scrapbooking has become more than just a hobby for me. And OUAS is more than just another site to me. With your emphasis on the journalling, you kinda force us into some fierce introspection, and thus elevate what would otherwise be just another beautiful craft, to something much more meaningful... almost a legacy... So thank you.
Here's my layout.
I used lots of Tim Holtz. And some gesso, and gauze, and wire. Here's a close up.
I had a lot to say, so I hid my journalling behind my photo.

I really like how it turned out. I hope you do too.
Thanks for stopping by, and if you're curious about what happened last thing last year, it's on my last post!
